Anthony McGowan
Anthony McGowan is the author of two adult thrillers, Stag Hunt and Mortal Coil, and six multi-award-winning teenage novels: Hellbent, Henry Tumour, The Knife That Killed Me, The Fall, Brock, Hello Darkness and, most recently, Pike. His books for younger children include The Bare Bum Gang series, Einstein’s Underpants, The Donut Diaries of Dermot Milligan, Leopard Adventure, Shark Adventure, Bear Adventure and Python Adventure. He has also written feature articles, travel and sports journalism for The Guardian, The Times, The Daily Telegraph, The Evening Standard and The Mail on Sunday. A screen adaptation of The Knife That Killed Me was released to wide acclaim in 2015. He teaches creative writing at the Faber Academy. Since 2012 he has been a stalwart, if ungifted, member of the Authors XI cricket team. The Authors XI toured Sri Lanka in 2013, with very limited success. |
